Safe Mode

Safe Mode (also called RP Mode or Roleplay Mode) makes your spells visual only. They still look exactly the same, but they no longer push or throw other avatars and objects.

Why use it

Many Wishmaster spells come with an invisible force, called a push node, that shoves things the way a real explosion or shockwave would. That is great fun in a duel, but not in a busy roleplay scene.

With Safe Mode on, the push nodes are switched off. You can cast even the biggest spells, such as Explosion or Meteor Storm, and nobody gets knocked around.

Good places for Safe Mode

  • Roleplay regions (many require it)
  • Clubs, shops and events
  • Showing your magic to friends who are not dueling

Turn it on or off

  1. On the HUD, open the Index page.
  2. Open Utilities.
  3. Click Safe Mode to switch it on or off. (On versions before 3.23 the button is labeled RP Mode.)

You can switch at any time.

Some spells still move people

A few gentle spells exist to move things, such as Levitate. They still move their target in Safe Mode, because moving it is the spell itself.
