Introduction

Wishmaster is a powerful spell-casting HUD that grants the user an impressive arsenal of magical powers that you must see to behold.

The system is both roleplay friendly and can also be used just for fun! It was conceived by Zachh Barkley as the go-to item for any and all magic roleplayers or novelty enthusiasts alike. There's something included for everyone. You are given a magical lamp that contains a powerful Djinn spirit called the Wishmaster. After a brief word of wisdom, he will give you his grimoire and leave you to play with your new god-like powers.

As Second Life's highest rated magic system, Wishmaster was meticulously designed by professional artists from the ground up. We coded our own APIs, handcrafted the intricacies of each effect and topped it off with an intuitive, easy to use HUD interface.   • Built for Efficiency WM2 boasts low-lag with a record script time average of 0.02ms.
  • Expansive. In addition to the already large inventory of abilities, expansion packs can be bought and installed with 1-click.

  • Customize Your Casting with many of the included and additional variants that change the way a spell looks or behaves.
  • Roleplay Mode allows users to disable all push features so magic can be cast without disturbing others.
  • Integrated Cleanup ensures that Wishmaster never leaves garbage behind. All objects magically vanish when a caster leaves a region, logs out, or doesn't manually dispel after 60 seconds.
  • No Range Limit means spells can be cast on anyone or anything from anywhere in a sim.

Quick Tips

  • Dispel an active spell by clicking the spell-name on the HUD or clear all active spells by typing /9 dispel.'

  • To Multicast click and hold the button for about two seconds. This allows the spell to be cast again without dispelling the first.
  • The Bless Charm will remove any hexes cast upon you or the target.
  • Camera Casting can be used with many (but not all) spells. Select 'Camera' when prompted to choose a target.

The HUD

HUD Placement

You can wear the HUD on any HUD corner point: TOP-RIGHT, BOTTOM-RIGHT, TOP-LEFT, BOTTOM-LEFT. If you try to move the HUD, it will snap back to its original place. This is because it is animated and designed to optimize itself so it's not in your way. Because of this adaptability, it will only show both sides of the book if there are spells listed on the second page.

The HUD SIZE can be adjusted either manually or by using the system command /9 hud size detailed below.

  • Minimize - Return to the index and click the paper background.
  • Index - From within a spell chapter, click the paper background.

System Commands

System Commands

  • /9 help - Hands you the manual notecard.
  • /9 changes - Gives you a log documenting all changes and updates to Wishmaster 2.
  • /9 bugs - Takes you to our bug tracker where you can report, view and discuss issues with Arcanum products.
  • /9 hud size VALUE - Resizes the HUD to the defined value. Replace VALUE with the word SMALL, MEDIUM, or LARGE. If none of these fit your needs, you can define a size numerically.
    • Example: /9 hud size 0.35

To Cast A Spell

To Cast A Spell

  1. Click on a spell name to invoke the drop-down menu
  2. Choose your target, the spell will then be cast.

If the spell has a variant available, you will be prompted to select your desired effect before it casts.

  • All spells can be cast via HUD or Chat Commands. The default channel is 9.
    • Syntax - /9 SPELL TARGET VARIANT
      • Example: /9 bless dumbledore would cast the Bless charm on a person named Dumbledore.
      • Example: /9 teleport gandalf shadow would teleport you to the person named Gandalf with the Shadow teleport effect.
    • You can also use the shorthand for the just about anything.
      • Example: /9 elec dum strike would cast the Strike variant of Electricity on Dumbledore.
    • Note: If you wish to command-cast a spell that can only be cast on yourself, you must use a wildcard for the target. This can be anything.
      • Example: /9 invis z apparate would cast the Invisibility spell which can only be cast on yourself.

Roleplay Mode

Roleplay Mode

Roleplay mode allows users to disable all push features so magic can be cast without disturbing others. It has been designed to enhance your roleplaying experience without interfering with everyone else's.

This feature disables the system nodes that intentionally move other avatars.
Major spells such as “Explosion” will only produce visual effects without moving an avatar. However, some spells that use physical objects may still slightly push avatars at a severely reduced capacity.


Toggling Roleplay Mode

On your HUD:
  1. Click UTILITIES
  2. Select RP MODE
  3. Click ENABLE

You will then hear a confirmation sound and your HUD will reboot. You can then cast safely in roleplay environments without shoving avatars.

To disable RP MODE, simply repeat the above steps and choose “Disable” from the dialog menu.

Astral

Astral

  • Projection - This sends the user into a meditative trance, allowing him to unleash his soul upon the world. As it travels, the user's soul can communicate with anyone in view, even as the sorcerer remains elsewhere.
  • Nightmare - Issues a psychic attack, paralyzing those nearby in fear.
  • Paravectus - Draws out material from the astral plane, allowing the user to walk in midair, or to stop themselves as they fall.
    • Use in mouselook to walk diagonally.
  • Telepathy - Allows the user to listen to a target and anyone around the target, from anywhere inside the sim.

Charms

Charms

  • Portal - Creates a portal through the material of the plane allowing a user or a group to pass through.
    • Portal also allows you to open rifts between sims. This is the only power that allows this.
  • Summon - Allows the user to magically teleport a target to their location.
  • Teleport - Allows the user to magically teleport themselves to another location.
    • Save - Allows the user to save a location and return back to it later.
    • Load - Teleports the user to a saved location.
    • Camera - Teleports the user to their camera location.
    • Note: RLV-Enabled viewers can use Teleport without clicking to sit on TP orbs. If you have it enabled in your viewer, it will work automatically.
  • Group Teleport - Teleports the caster, with their group, to another location.
  • Teleport Home - Teleports the target out of the region.
    • You must have land rights to use this ability.
  • Eject - Ejects the target from the parcel.
    • You must have land rights to use this ability.
  • Conjure - Magically summons items the caster has installed into the HUD.
    • Import will allow you to install items into the HUD for conjuring.
    • Otherwise you may choose your desired effect to summon the item with.

Eldritch

Eldritch

  • Bombard - Casts a barrage of fiery destruction creating explosions throughout a target area.
  • Energy Ball - Casts a tremendous explosion in an area, blowing anyone in the target area away.
  • Explosion - Calls forth a gigantic maelstrom of hellfire, sending anything in the target area flying and leaving huge craters in its wake.
  • Meteor - Brings a single meteor down from the sky on top of a target.
  • Meteor Storm - Calls forth a series of meteors onto a target, leaving destruction in the surrounding area.
  • Rapture - Summons a brilliant light that seizes a target up into the air, far out of sight.
  • Vanquish - Blasts a target upwards in a column of light.

Elemental

Click and Hold to charge / cast elemental spells.

  • Earth Pillar - A chunk of earth rises up into the air from the ground, launching the caster or target up in the air.
    • Hold down left mouse button to charge.
    • Turn via mouselook or arrow keys to control spell's path.
  • Earth Spike - Earthen spikes rise up from the ground, blasting away anything in their path.
    • Hold down left mouse button to charge.
    • Turn via mouselook or arrow keys to control spell's path.
  • Electric Shock - Conjures an arc of lightning to strike any physical objects that lie ahead.
  • Electric Strike - Calls down a bolt of lightning on a target.
  • Fire Ball - Casts up a fireball. The longer this spell is charged, the greater the effect. Upon bursting, this spell will ignite any objects or people it comes into contact with.
    • Hold down left mouse button to charge.
    • Fire can also melt ice.
  • Fire Fury - Calls up a storm of fire that dances around the user until cast forth.
    • Hold down left mouse button to charge.
    • Fire can also melt ice.
  • Fire Flame - Sprays out a stream of flame that ignites anything it touches.
    • Fire can also melt ice.
  • Ice Spray - Sprays out a stream of ice that freezes anything it touches.
    • Ice can put out fire, as well as freeze people along with objects and water solid.
    • Hold down left mouse button to fire.
  • Ice Spear - Summons up ice around the user, which coalesces around the hand, ready to be thrown at a target.
    • Ice can put out fire, as well as freeze people along with objects and water solid.
  • Wind Ball - Conjures up a dense pocket of air between the users hands. When cast, it unleashes small bursts of wins as it travels, as well as a huge burst of air upon arriving at a target.
    • Hold down left mouse button to charge.
  • Wind Gust - Gathers the surrounding air into the users hands, to be released in a powerful blast.
    • Hold down left mouse button to charge.
  • Wind Sail - Summons a pocket of air on which the user can glide at high speeds.
    • Hold down left mouse button to charge.
    • For best control, use mouse look.
  • Wind Cyclone - The caster spins around swiftly forming a mini-tornado that knocks people and objects out of your path.

Hexes

Hexes

All hexes can be cured by casting Bless or using Dispel.

  • Bind - Invokes powerful glyphs to bind a target to the ground.
  • Dwarf - Transforms a target into a dwarf.
  • Gravity - Forces a target irresistibly towards the ground.
  • Paralyze - Fires out a beam of light, paralyzing a target.
  • Swarm - Calls forth a swarm of gremlins to harass and bully a target.
  • Tree Hex - Transfixes a target, turning them into a tree.

Weather

Weather

  • Blizzard - Summons a blizzard.
  • Thunderstorm - Summons a thunderstorm.
  • Jetstream - Pummels the target with a strong blast of wind.
  • Tornado - Spawns a deadly tornado that moves around sucking up anything in its path.
Expansion Packs are items that can be purchased (there are also free ones) to add new spells and features to the Wishmaster system. Join our support group to be notified when new content becomes available.

Psi-Wave Spell

Psi-Wave grants the witch or wizard a powerful spell that projects energy into a forceful blast that can be projected outward or drawn inward.

  • Forward Blast - A burst of psychic energy is sent forth, mowing foes out of your way.
  • Radial Blast - A radial wave that forces any foes in the immediate vicinity to back off.
  • Radial Pull - This wave draws your energy in, pulling anyone in the local vicinity towards you with arcane precision.
  • 2 Color Variations - Red-Blue & Blue-Green.

Expand your elemental spells with this water pack! Drown your foes in deadly puddles or teleport through arcane water! A perfect addition to any water mage set.

  • Drown - Drenches your foe in water and attempts to drown them by means of depression.
  • Puddle - Opens a puddle portal and teleports or conceals the cast and his group.
    • Teleport, Group Teleport, Invisibility Effect.

Chain Lightning allows the caster to charge a huge bolt of energy and unleash it. The surge will travel through nearby avatars and blast them as well as physical objects.

Design your own Aura spells with the WM2 Aura Editor. Use the settings to tweak particles and apply your own textures, then save them to your HUD for easy casting!

Dimensional Expansion

This pack adds 18 new spell objects to your Wishmaster HUD's Dimensional Chapter. You are getting a large dose of finely crafted, unparalleled visual effects that will have people turning their heads as you travel in the finest magical style available in Second Life. Hand crafted sound effects, finely tuned visuals, intricately sculpted meshes and artfully painted textures will assure you an elite magical experience as expected from Wishmaster.

  • Teleport, Summon, Invisibility Effects
    • Command: /9 teleport NAME EFFECT
      • Group Teleport must be accessed via the button.
    • Flame - Travel through the hottest flames of hell and emerge un-singed.
    • Orb - Dematerialize into beautiful crisp orbs of light.
    • Derez - The avatar is disintegrated with laser like precision and reassembled elsewhere.
    • Flicker - Shimmering lights flicker about and climax in one large burst. Talk about flash.
  • Portal
    • Doorway - The caster calls forth an arcane doorway that allows for instantaneous travel between locations, people and camera.
    • Features high quality animated mesh and materials.
    • Includes a 'colorizer' that allows you to adjust and save your portals color to taste.
    • Command: /9 portal NAME doorway
  • Warp
    • This one will have heads turning as the caster charges up and leaps into a supersonic flight, breaking the sound barrier in the process.
      • Command: /9 warp NAME or /9 warp CAMERA

  * This update resolves an issue with RLVa not functioning properly.

Linden Labs implemented a change to LSL that rendered Wishmaster's physics nodes useless. Not only have we repaired the issue, we have boosted the performance of the nodes, thus allowing spells to be more powerful. 
  * Repaired wm_node(s) and script errors.
  * Boosted spell power (They hit a little harder now. More OOMPH!).
  * Improved Stupefy slightly with better animation/sounds.
